An eligible response to this
RFP will provide a digital cellular service and a wireless Internet Data
service on both existing and devices procured through this RFP process to
support operational efficiency, emergency operations, district communications

The District request proposals from an erate eligible Telecommunication Providers to deliver connectivity from the district to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) for 368 call paths (channels) with management, for 360 access lines at 36 facilities and for access lines for new construction. For the 368 call paths for VOIP PBX system, the district will consider a proposal based on a Primary Rate Interface circuit solution that provides increased mission critical services over the current solution that exist today for the district, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunk solution, or a hybrid solution utilizing both technologies, For site access lines, traditional POTS or alternative service that meet the functional requirements of the service will be considered.
The District request proposals from eligible erate providers to deliver for turn-key 200Mb – 1 Gb Internet Access and Transport to 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX or at 9251 S. Fry Rd, Katy, TX.
The District request proposals
from eligible erate providers to provide a wireless Internet access
service and associated devices to continue the existing service for 1500 5th
grade students in the Katy North Campuses extend to the remaining 2500 5th
grade students of KISD and an option to expand to a District-wide solution
for all student liable access. 2010-2011
An eligible response to this RFP will provide a wireless Internet access service designed for portable devices via a mobile broadband service that utilizes a high performance cellular data network with CIPA compliant content filtering or with a wireless access service that transports the student data to KISD for usage of the KISD content filter. KISD will evaluate proposals to contract for a service to support campuses with students of increased need to technology for instruction.
